Literary Competition for Youngsters – 2007
Prizes were distributed to the winners and all the participants during Onam celebrations of Adelaide Metropolitan Malayalee Association on 1st sept 2007 at Slovenian club hall Adelaide.

AKN Adelaide Literary Competition.2007
AKN committee, Adelaide region is conducting a literary competition for the young people living in South Australia. This competition for our scholastic children has clear objectives to bring out the literary talent latent within them, to develop the writing skills either in Malayalam or English and to motivate potential young talents.
The literary contributions presented by our young people shall be judged in an unbiased and unprejudiced method by an eminent writer of AKN Central Committee and the winners will be awarded in a public function in Adelaide in appreciation of their literary skills and style of presentation.
The rules and guidelines of the competition are briefed below:
1. The competition is for children only and no entry fee is invited.
2. There are 2 categories – a) Primary school students
b) High school students
3. Contributions should be unpublished, hard or soft copy of Prose or
Poem either in Malayalam or English, without any topic stipulation
(As long as the topic is non-political, non- religious and non-
Controversial). To make it clear, there will be no separate
competition in these languages.
4. There will be two covetable prizes (first and second places) in each category.
5. The articles should not exceed 3 pages and with a minimum of 1 page.
6. Candidates should clearly mention their name, parent’s names, age, name of school, telephone number, contact email ID and postal address on the contributions forwarded.
7. The deadline for submission is July 31, 2007. The articles received after this date will not be entertained.
8. The articles may be given to any of the following persons.

9. The decisions of the Committee shall be final and binding.
10. The Committee will have the discretion to publish the articles received in AKN magazine 2007.
